Amandine de Issommeharre, as she is now called, was born to one of the noble houses that comprise the remainder of Gelmorra's ruling structures. As the next in a long line of incredibly successful house mages, Amandine received a thorough arcane education from a very young age. She was taught and drilled constantly on the creation and use of thousands of wards, glyphs, and sigils that comprise the Gelmorran arcane tradition of Deep Magic.Despite the many expectations and challenges of her noble pedigree, Amandine seemed to rise to meet them all without hesitation. Until one day when accompanying an expedition with her fellow young-prodigy apprentices, a mysterious accident befell them all. Her recollections of what exactly transpired remain deeply clouded, but a few details: flashes of light, an ear-shattering crack, and hundreds of tonze of rock raining down upon them, yet remain.She awoke, injured and alone, an uncertain amount of time later in an unfamiliar passage, the only path available to her was up. With what little remained of her strength, she summoned forth her contracted partner, a creature of the void, the ahriman called Xav’rhan. They carried her forth through twisting labyrinthian corridors, higher, ever higher until they reached somewhere entirely and completely unexpected: the surface.

Some rumors claim it to be a voidmage of a new cult seeking to entrench itself beneath Gridania’s bows, while others say it is the ghost of the late Lady of Haukke Manor back for revenge. She hasn’t been seen in some time…until you happened to lay eyes on the young woman before you…

If that's not your jam to interact with, that's totally cool!Amandine is rather secretive about her origins so it's very unlikely to come up in casual conversation or affect general events unless someone is deliberately seeking that information.
